BKT has identified and promptly addressed a case of card-cloning fraud through its fraud-detection systems. The fraudulent activity was detected early, enabling the Bank to immediately intervene and block the affected cards.
In this case, fraudsters copied card information at ATMs using electronic devices and camera transferred the stolen data onto cloned cards, which were then used abroad.
All compromised cards have been closed as a preventive measure. The Bank will fully compensate all affected customers, ensuring that none of them will suffer any financial loss. This reaffirms BKT’s commitment to protecting customer funds and maintaining the highest security standards.
Meanwhile, BKT will fully collaborate with the state police to share all the information about fraudsters.
