BKT offers the possibility to make money transfers through the below channels:
- BKT Branches Network
- Money transfers within Albania
- International Money Transfers
- Online, through accessing “Internet Branch”
- Money transfers within Albania
- International Money Transfers
- Mobile banking by accessing BKT Smart
- Money transfers within Albania
- International Money Transfers
a) Outgoing transfers at BKT Branches
Available in all BKT Branches
- All currencies accepted from the Bank: ALL, EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, CAD, AUD.
- Within and Outside Albania
The data necessary for the execution of an outgoing transfer to other banks are:
- Name and address of beneficiary;
- IBAN of beneficiary’s account (or account number for countries where IBAN is not applied);
- Name and address of beneficiary’s Bank;
- BIC/Swift code, or Routing Number, etc.;
- Purpose of transfer (invoice no, etc.).
Outgoing transfers abroad are subject to the Bank of Albania regulation “On foreign exchange activities”, as amended.
ATTENTION! Please ensure that the beneficiary’s information you provide is accurate. Mostimportantly, please verify their integrity if these data have been provided to you through Internet or e-mail.
BKT is not liable for any possible delay, non-execution of transfer or any other inconvenience, caused by inaccurate customer instructions.
b) Online outgoing transfers
For the retail customers, BKT is offering the possibility to make money transfers using “Internet Branch” platform and BKT Smart application.
Transfers within the country
The types of transfers that can be performed through “Internet Branch” and “BKT Smart” are:
- Transfers between my accounts
- Within BKT
- Within the country
For the currencies accepted from the bank: ALL, EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, CAD, AUD
Money Transfers in ALL within the country made through “Internet Branch” have preferential commission’s fees, encouraging the usage of this channel for performing your transfers faster and with lower cost.
International Money Transfers
BKT offers the service of outgoing money transfers out of Albania from “Internet Branch” and BKT Smart application for the currencies accepted from the bank: EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, CAD, AUD and TRY.
International Money transfers done through BKT Smart and “Internet Branch” offer facilities for its usage to perform your transfers faster and anywhere you might be.
The limits for International Money Transfers initiated through “Internet Branch” will be as follow:
- Maximum 10 000 EUR/transfer (daily limit)
- Maximum 20 000 EUR/month (calendaring)
- Maximum 40 000 EUR/year (calendaring)
The data necessary for initiating of International outgoing money transfer to other banks are:
- Name and address of beneficiary
- IBAN/ SWIFTI or beneficiary’s Bank and account number
- Currency
- Country
- Transfer Commissions as per 3 options:
- All commissions are paid by Beneficiary
- All Commission are paid from Sender
- Shared Commissions
*There can be cases when additional fees from correspondent banks might apply
- Name and address of Beneficiary Bank
- Purpose of Transfer
Outgoing transfers abroad are subject to the Bank of Albania regulation “On foreign exchange activities”, as amended.
ATTENTION! Please ensure that the beneficiary’s information and transfer details you provide is accurate. Most importantly, please verify their integrity if these data have been provided to you through Internet or e-mail. Special characters as % &, [, {, etc. are not allowed during transfer process and it will cause process interruption.
