Banka Kombëtare Tregtare has been awarded as "The Best Local Bank in Albania" and "The Most Innovative Bank". The bank received as well the ‘’Financial Inclusion Award’’ and as well ‘’Best Product Award’’ for the epara Mobile Wallet App for year 2023, in Central and Eastern Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States by EMEA Finance in sixteen edition of the "2023 European Bank Awards".
EMEA Finance, one of the most important financial magazines in the world which follows developments in the financial markets in emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa, awards each year best banks and financial institutions. The submission for these awards demonstrated that European banking remains in good shape and proved that the financial industry can weather a severe crisis. The digital advances that have been made over the past decade are proving essential and valuable, while access to financial services are becoming easier and more inclusive.
The awards as ‘’The Most Innovative Bank’’ for the third consecutive year emphasizes the leader position of BKT as a pioneer bank in digitalization, who offers its individual and business customers a wide range of digital services which are enhanced continuously with new functionalities in all the digital channels such as BKT Smart, e-banking dhe Smart BanKomaT network.
‘’The Best Product’’ award for the epara digital wallet is as well an award that makes us proud, being the first bank to enter the Albanian market through an Electronic Money Institution, BKT Pay, licensed from the Bank of Albania on November 3, 2023.
