SEPA Transfers at BKT

BKT operates with transfers according to the standards defined in the SEPA ZONE (Single Euro Payments Area), ensuring clear benefits for clients.

  • Standardized payments: Possibility to send and receive euro payments with unified conditions across all SEPA participating countries.
  • Faster processing: Most SEPA transfers are processed within one business day.
  • Transparent fees: For cross-border euro payments, the same fees apply as for domestic euro payments.
  • Payments based on IBAN and BIC: SEPA transfers require the use of the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) and BIC (Bank Identifier Code).
  • Outgoing SEPA payments: Fees must not exceed the limits applied for domestic euro payments processed through the systems of the Bank of Albania (AIPS/ACH).
  • Incoming SEPA payments: If fees apply, they must not exceed 3 euros per transaction.
